Beyond The Hour
Inspired by the hundreds of millions of people across the globe that take part in Earth Hour, with many choosing to take action beyond the hour, this year Earth Hour is moving into a new phase — Beyond The Hour.
We’re pretty excited about this new initiative, an online platform that allows people to share the actions they will take for the planet, explore what others are doing across the globe and upload videos and images. Our actions small and large add up, and through collective action towards a common purpose, we can make a real difference.

I fell in love with Anthony Goicolea’s wonderful drawings and photographs a few years ago when I stumbled upon his show at Postmasters Gallery in New York. His world is both arousing and disturbing, as visions of childhood nostalgia and innocence intermingle with darker more abusive subject matter. Read more

After getting lost in the quagmire that is the internet, M83’s Digital Shades, first released digitally in 2007, has just been given a space on the shelf in your nearest music shop. Before shooting to acclaim with Saturday=Youth, Anthony Gonzalez looked closer to Krautrock and Eno and produced this ambient sometimes beautiful record. There’s much less of a disco feel than both Saturdays and his first album, Before the Dawn Heals Us. Some might say it’s a bit self-indulgent, not easily accessible, and more of a soundscape than a pop attempt. Yet, like Eno, Gonzalez is slowly becoming a master of the perfect chord sequence, and the result is an interesting, often heart-wrenching, set of compositions. Read about M83′s favourite songs right now.
