I love Danzig
I don’t know why I love Danzig so much. Everything he embodies: the machismo, the predilection for strippers and fake boobs, the meat-head attitude towards everything – is the opposite of me, but still, I’ve always loved his music. I think the Misfits were one of the greatest rock bands of all time, and I love Samhain and most of his solo stuff, even his recent album, Deth Red Sabaoth.
Thirteen is one of the most amazing songs ever, just listen to Johnny Cash’s cover of it. People can make fun of the Evil Elvis for buying cat litter or getting knocked out by some guido no one remembers, but if he dies on the toilet and leaves a Danzig Graceland, I will definitely make pilgrimages to it.
