Wild Animals by Rop van Mierlo
Wild Animals by Dutch artist Rop van Mierlo is a collection of his amazing wash paintings of animals. Allowing the inks and watercolors to soak and spread on the paper as it wants to, Mierlo’s animals are wild in their formation, without hard lines or angles to confine them.

Drawings of animals by Maria Elina
It’s funny that as alienated as we are from animals in this modern world, people still feel compelled to draw them as if it were one of our core instincts. Surreal sculptures by Ben Wheele
Honestly, writing about art (and music, for that matter) is kind of an awful task because good art speaks for itself. Such is the case with Ben Wheele’s surreal sculptures and videos. For instance if you type the word “I” it will play Chris Isaak singing that word in the song Wicked Games. If a word cannot be found, you can enter a song which contains the missing word and expand the library.
I stumbled across the Hello, Blue Roses track, My Shadow Falls, the other week and it set my ears alight, this subtle but beautiful song and its cascading melodic line which will at once ingrain yourself in your inner-ear iPod and then disappear out the other end, leaving only the sweetest of memories.
