Baltimore artist Virginia Warwick once made a public sculpture of a giant zombie squirrel with blood all over its hands and mouth. She also often dresses a squirrel or a sea turtle and runs around public places and interacts with people to make them ‘aware of non-human lifeforms’. Her most loved piece, however, was her public sculpture of a meatball on North Ave. Recently, a car accident destroyed it, and a little piece of all of us died.
