X Rated Lego
LEGOS were always one of my favorite childhood toys. I loved that I could build and create anything and everything. Nothing was off limits. Except maybe these X Rated LEGO creations of nude women, which look like unfinished downloads from a seedy website. Are they a teenage boy’s fantasy come to life or a play on censorship and their usage of blurred pixelated imagery?

Browsing through the CD shelves looking for a good mix to help fuel my road-trip back to California, I spotted a spooked-out psychedelic jazz score to a 70s Czech horror film. This is clever, skillful and imaginative. The art direction and build of set fantastic.
This pokes fun at the “oh so naughty, Benny Hill” tits and arse tacky soft porn images you complain of.

Woohoo! Another flash game that actually tests your cognitive abilities. LightBot is a difficult, but satisfying game in which you direct a little robot using a system of simple commands in order to light up various squares on a grid. The first few levels guide you through the seemingly easy process, but when there are multiple sets of directions requiring you to write what are essentially codes, it can get pretty hairy.
Don’t be afraid of the word retro. It has haunted us all from time to time, but one group that has embraced it with open arms is UK duo, La Roux. Im all for art and context but for some reason this makes me want to smash it into pieces. Sexualising women much? Someone enlighten me if this doesnt envoke that. But then again I like lego. My childhood toy ffs! And no, I dont mean “x- rated” toy -.-”
