Rain by Nicolas Dumont

‘Letting someone stand in the rain’ is not exactly considered a friendship service. Photographer Nicolas Dumont, however, did exactly that when he invited some of his friends into his kitchen to have their picture taken under a cold shower.

To make matters more interesting, he instructed them to pull themselves together and focus on staring into the camera. The sessions lasted between ten and twenty minutes. Dumont says about the result: ‘I guess the water temperature felt better after a while as some of the best images were captured at the beginning’. Aha! With some friends, you clearly don’t need enemies.

Brilliant one line drawing series by Eemz

Eemz is an illustrator and mixed-media artist from Cairo. She has recently come up with a one line drawing series that I find quite adorable. I would really love to see these turned into t shirt motifs or printed on postcards, so I can send them around to my friends. Read more

Unnamed sound sculpture by Daniel Franke

Daniel Franke has created an amazing new kind of art. He calls it a sound sculpture. It is based on the recorded motion data of a dancer shot with three depth cameras, a complex procedure that resulted in a beautifully moving digital body, consisting of 22,000 points. The closer we look, the more abstract the sculpture becomes. Read more

British horror artist Amer Shihab has a really great, unhinged, outsider-y style that’s reminiscent of compulsive doodles by a serial killer, but I think is linework is really great, and some of his less gory pieces are actually quite beautiful. Read more
