Hipster City Cycle is an 8-bit bike race adventure set in the neighborhoods of Philadelphia. Although, the game has not been released yet, it’s been getting a lot of buzz from the media. Even the hipster-haters, such as the upper-echelon New Yorkers, are getting a kick out of the idea of the game, posted in the New York Times: ‘If this is not happening already, someone should create a Hipster City Cycle for New York’. Things continue to improve for New York’s metal scene, if Batillus are any indication. The sludge/doom trio from Brooklyn offer crushingly heavy, down-tuned and down-tempo instrumental riffage that sounds like what a mutant that has crawled out of Newtown Creek might have on his iPod. The band recently added vocalist Fade Kainer of Inswarm (Jarboe’s touring band) to its line-up.

I was initially drawn to Belgium-born Christophe Coppen’s jewellery before discovering that he produces two mens and womens collections each year, consisting not only of jewellery, also of but couture pieces and home accessories. With seven interior collections to his name, and a past history as both a theater director and an actor, his work is an expression of his creative brilliance.
