Psychedelic Pop Puppetry

Master of monsters, banjo playing owls, and, of course, Monsterism Island? Pete Fowler has made his long overdue music video debut after being approached by UK band Clinic for their single, I’m Aware, taken from their new Bubblegum album.

Whilst the band originally wanted an animation, Fowler developed the concept of a puppet show for adults and the band went with it. The video tells the story of a cult elder on a vision quest and comes complete with a sun vomiting up a rainbow. The ‘cast’ was made by cult textile artist, The Felt Mistress. Pete Fowler also made his puppeteering debut and operated the guitar player for the filming.
