Drawings of animals by Maria Elina

It’s funny that as alienated as we are from animals in this modern world, people still feel compelled to draw them as if it were one of our core instincts. A broken snare drum rolling gently over a scratchy acoustic guitar; a deep lyrical catharsis smothering a melody which is predictable but endearing. Your Rocky Spine by Great Lake Swimmers is a magical song; all wrapped up in three and half minutes of lustful introspection.

A former interior decorator known for her clever use of colour, Dyment’s jewelry designs are informed by the same colourful aesthetic. Sophisticated and contemporary, her collection, including rings, earrings, bracelets and necklaces, combines gems and diamonds, each stone carefully selected and arranged by Dyment, and then set in polished eighteen-carat gold.
