I think Sydney Phillips Hardin has hit on something great with her series of portraits of iconic women (Sarah Palin, the Madonna and Child, Botticelli’s Venus on a half-shell) painted as blow-up dolls, certainly with regard to her aim to ‘retaliate’ against media packaging of female sexuality. She also has the best URL on the web.
