I Love Stop Motion
I Love Stop Motion is a very cute video by Chloe Fleury about the history of stop motion animation. The technique (also known as stop action or frame-by-frame) has been used now for more than 100 years. Fleury’s video is made from papers and, of course, filmed in stop motion

The seven deadly sins by Christian Montenegro
The ‘seven deadly sins’ is a classical topic for an artist, it seems. As a fan of the Renaissance, I tend to prefer the traditional interpretation. However, Christian Montenegro, an illustrator from Buenos Aires, has come up with an interesting modernist version. Read more
Love Locks for Valentine’s Day
Are you looking for a romantic way of showing your sweetheart that you care about her or him for Valentine’s Day? Why not get a love lock? There’s just something so poignant about the idea that some people you pass on the street everyday have a little bit more insight into their world — our world — than we could ever imagine. It’s beautiful and confronting, and it’s all set to the most wonderfully evocative music.

Man, I remember shaking my tail to Come on Eileen many moons ago — when rat-tails were a right of passage and Molly Ringwald held both the lock and the key to my tiny pitter pattering heart. Back then it was all ice-skating and fairy floss; skateboards and trading cards. It was bags of chips by the rusty school fence and sunburnt faces on crackling summer days. Read more
