Made2share Exhibition in Sydney
We heard that our friends at Vice Magazine had hooked up with Bonds to celebrate the launch of the label’s new unisex range, made2share. So after crashing the exhibition at Luxe Studios in Sydney, we discovered that six pairs of Australia’s most creative guy/girl duos had been invited to shoot portraits of each other wearing the same shared outfits.
And as expected, the twelve portraits were as interesting as the creatives involved. The large-scale photographs showcased both the unisex range and the individual talents of the subjects, revealing their creativity through a series of photographic portraits of one another. Seems like some people were just born to share.

Daimon Downey designs art scarves for Bay & Fyfe
If you’ve been wondering what Daimon Downey’s getting up to since he left Sneaky Sound System, he’s been making art. He teamed up with concept label Bay & Fyfe after the label’s owner Frith Hucks purchased a piece from Downey’s solo exhibition in New York late last year. Together they’ve created wearable art in the form of luxurious limited edition scarves. Drawing on a series of six paintings titled Pastel Zoo, Downey’s works transfer paint into print and play off the notion of life versus death and good versus evil. Each scarf comes in a run of 400, so grab one before they disappear. Read more

Women’s wetsuits by Byron Bay label Tallow
Learning to surf is hard. There’s reading the waves, respecting the line-up, and not freaking out when a big set rolls in. But the biggest challenge of all is finding gear that’s not just functional but fashionable. Call me superficial, but I don’t want to hit the beach wearing some generic ensemble that clashes with my board. So you can imagine my delight when I came across a super cool range of women’s wetsuits by Byron Bay-based label, Tallow. Read more

‘I have been trying to go with my whims. Fuck it, let’s make an iPod album’. This statement from Team Genius leader Drew Hermiller was the jumping off point in the creation of the band’s debut self-titled full-length album, one of the most interesting and eclectic pop records of the year. ‘Basically it’s a reaction to the modern way music is consumed and listened to’, Hermiller says. ‘The idea of an album with a focused sound and a complete statement kind of gets lost now-a-days. Everyone shuffles around, so I thought “why not write an album that does the same thing?” Luckily, the band did an awesome job of keeping up with it’. Download a couple of free tracks off the album in our Music Download section [pssst, it's in the third column of the site]
