Scott Barry
Over a year and a half ago we wrote about Scott Barry, a San Francisco-based artist known for whimsically penned illustrations full of simplistic, geometric consciousness and the reoccurring inclusion of photographic imagery alluding to a fantastic, if not psychedelic, 70s dream.
Finding an illustration of his in last month’s Nylon, it came to our attention that his work has taken on a bewitching Modernest evolution while conserving its playful ethos. Now, more than ever, we want to live inside it. Checking out his website, you’ll notice the impeccable sense of composition and order that flows through his most recent illustrations. This goes, too, for his stills. Which brings us to the question: when will we be seeing his precise work in video form? Hopefully, the answer is soon.
