Destiny or Destino? Salvador Dali meets Walt Disney
by In 1946, Spanish surrealist icon, Salvador Dali, formed an unlikely friendship with American animation legend, Walt Disney, and they spent a short time collaborating on a short film called Destino. Unfortunately, only eighteen seconds of Destino were ever shot, the project was postponed because of financial reasons, as well as word of it being too extreme for the time. In 1999, Roy Disney reconstructed the entire short using computer rendering and hand-drawn imagery based on the original sketches and storyboards. The result was released in 2003. This is what it is: AMAZING!

Whilst the site might look decrepit and abandoned, the factory is fully active and the Russian government is not impressed with Sator’s little adventures into forbidden territory. The authorities have sent her letters saying that her situation will get ‘much worse’ if she keeps posting photos from the factory. Read more

Hockern: the new German sport of Extreme Sitting
Breakdance and skateboarding are from yesteryear: Hockern is the new trend sport on the streets these days. The origins of Hockern can be traced back to the German coast city of Kiel, where people with too much time on their hands and not much interest in breaking their bones invented a few tricks that have since spread around the world.
