Soft vinyl toys by Max Toy Co.
I love the toys that come out of Max Toy Co. I’m a big fan of Tokusatsu and Super Sentai programs, and these toys have come out of a huge love for these things. They’re made in the same way a lot of Japanese soft vinyl toys are made, but some of the ideas Mark Nagata comes up with exaggerate the craziness of the genre even more, and I can’t get enough of them. His Kaiju Negora Konatsu toy is a prime example of that.
The people over at DVICE spotted this amazing Hello Kitty proton pack at the recent New York Comic Con. Can this guy mass produce these things?

Star Wars Uncut: a fully crowdsourced version of Episode IV
The project of creative technologist, Casey Pugh, this full length version of the George Lucas masterpiece was created from multiple 15 second segments recreated from the original movie and submitted by thousands of Star Wars fans, which were then spliced together by editor Aaron Valdez to form the final product. Genius, as both a commentary on contemporary pop culture trends (there are references to LEGO, stop motion, memes and the like) and on the power of tapping your audience for quality material.
Filmmaker creates LEGO stop motion to propose to girlfriend
Now, this is one for the ages: back in 2010, Atlanta film-maker Walter Thompson created a jaw-dropping LEGO stop motion to propose to Nealey Dozier, his girlfriend of four years. The video took 22 hours of shooting and some 2,600 pictures to splice together, a small sacrifice to pay for years of happiness together. Right? Right! Oh, and she said yes. Bonus.

This is the mob scene that was outside the Ugg Boot store on Mercer Street, Soho, yesterday as I made my way through the harping hustle and flow of the downtown post-Christmas shopping crowds. And it’s a pretty familiar sight during winter in New York, with long queues invariably gathered along this stretch of road, waiting impatiently for their own little piece of Down Under warmth. Hi there, you are mistakenly crediting Stiletto-Nnja (who is probably innocently collecting my pictures in his Flickr page) as the designer of a Hello Kitty model kit. These images aren’t ‘modded’ model kits. They are all illustrations that I do fun fun & recreation. No model kits are used in their creation and I have no connection whatsoever to Stilleto-Ninja.
Just thought I should clear this up as I’m a big fan of your website.
