Music Philosophy
Music Philosophy describes itself as ‘a weekly graphic-typographic interpretation of philosophical song quotes’. I like to describe it as the coolest way to enjoy songs weekly without having to listen to them.
Mico Toledo (the creator of Music Philosophy) takes lyrics that people submit to the site and turns them into striking imagery. With lyrics from bands like The Beatles, Radiohead, and even Jay Z, you are sure to find something that fits your taste. Order a poster and get ready to make all of your indie friends jealous. Or in my case, Justin Bieber fans — Biebettes, for short.

I love how these look but it bothers me on some level that the Cash “song” is actually a cover of the NIN song “Hurt.” Since the focus is the lyrics wouldn’t it be best to give credit to their original author? Just my thoughts. Oddly I heard the Cash cover of this song in a Moe’s and it was one of the most surreal moments of my life, lol.

Hey dipshit!! TRENT REZNOR wrote Hurt!

yeah trent reznor did write hurt and it should be his name given for the credit, however after Johnny Cash covered it trent did say that it was no longer his song and that it belonged to cash now. so I guess technically if it belongs to cash now then one could argue that he would be credited for the quote?
Know your Philosophy Thursday 5 August 2010
I’m not sure exactly what makes these ‘philosophical’, abstract yes, esoteric maybe, poetic yes, but not philosophical.
It’s like after a football match (in Australia, anyway) journalists say things like ‘Madding was Philosophical about his loss’ just because he conceded that he didn’t play so well and that they could do better next time. This is not philosophy, its simply being humble. I can go on with a list of the misuse of the word, but I won’t.
Definition: Philosophy is the study of general and fundamental problems concerning matters such as existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language
