Amazing Jellyfish photography

There’s something so mystical and otherwordly about the humble jellyfish, whose colours emerge stupendously from their outrageously transparent bodies.

Time cover shows mum breastfeeding her 3 year old son

Is this taking the whole concept of shocking cover images too far? This Time Magazine image shows 26 year old mum, Jamie Lynne Grume, breastfeeding her 3 year old son with the headline: ‘Are you mom enough?’. The story tackles the complex issue of child attachment, in the most blunt of ways. Anything for free publicity, I guess. And yes, we feel into the trap as well. Well, you know what they say about a sucker …

Crazed text messages from panicked scorned girl

Ok, so this is a good reminder why one night stands don’t always pay off, especially when one half of the stand reads too much into the previous evening’s, erm, activities. Out of Australia comes this bizarre, one-sided text correspondence from a girl directed at the guy who bedded her, then discreetly sent her on her way. One of the best collections I’ve found is Kindra Murphy’s Flickr set. Read more

I’ve heard whispers that Kings Of Convenience, the Norwegian duo of folkloric proportions, have split. I hope they’re unfounded, but like all good rumours, where there’s smoke, there’s fire. Perhaps Erland Oye is enjoying the unlimited scope of his solo career too much? And then there’s his new submorphic guitar pop project, The Whitest Boy Alive, to keep him occupied. The whitest boy alive? Indeed he is. But damn the guy can sing.

With his heavy, all-protein diet, Leatherface probably needs to exercise a little, so this Nike sneaker made from human skin leather should suit him nicely. Actually, this piece is a grotesque and almost too realistic shoe made from latex as a comment on the horror of sweatshop labor
