Deer Tick fight back against bad review
Memo to our music editor: do not cross paths with indie band Deer Tick. Why? Well, Zach Kelley, a writer at Pitchfork, that self-proclaimed champion of indie cool, dared to give the band’s Black Dirt Sessions a poor review — and a 5.6 rating — and the band bit back. As our friends over at URLesque have noted, they posted the review on their Facebook page, with a photo of Kelley which hints liberally at his uber-music nerd status, ‘with no talent, making a living tearing down the hard work of others’.
