They Say Me Things

Australian-born artist, Dave Glass, has a passion for all things ridiculous. During his time living in Barcelona, he has harnessed things found in translation rather than lost, and put together a unique collection of words and art to reflect this. They Say Me Things is a project that collates the charming and nonsensical phrases he has come across in an English, Spanish and Catalan melting pot, and illustrates the absurdity of them through stencils and spray-paint. It gives me chicken wings, it does.

Tea Pot Cafe in Fort Kochi, India

For anyone traveling to India, the state of Kerala is a must. And for anyone traveling to Kerala, The Tea Pot Cafe in Fort Kochi is an absolute must. Relaxed and elegantly worn goes with the territory in these parts, but this particular cafe has all the local tastes and flavours, with the quirkiness and natural cool you might find people trying to replicate in other parts of the world. A homage to the teapot, this cafe offers food and hot and cold beverages in an interior littered with vintage teapots, trinkets and relics from the old tea trade days of the Malabar coast.

Earth: Time Lapse View from Space

We’re in danger of being a little obsessed with this sort of thing at the moment, but this Earth time-lapse video is just too beautiful not to be shared. Be warned, the shots of the Aurora together with the ambient music track are fairly trance-inducing. We take no responsibility for loss of work hours.

More Beautiful Women project by Nick Knight

Watch some of fashion’s most beautiful women squirm. On the back of a Vogue shoot in 2002, fashion photographer Nick Knight asked his models to stand in front of the camera undirected for two minutes. The results are awkward, very awkward in fact, but highly addictive and show a different side to these famed beauties we see so often.

How old must Kermit be now? Not to old to collaborate with skater-friendly retailer Supreme and photographer Terry Richardson. Kermit, who usually wears nothing, has been hooked up with some new threads to advertise the brand. It seems Kermit and Terry are the perfect work partners: they’ve even released a video clip documenting the shoot.

Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris, or ‘Le Corbusier’ is considered by many to be the most influential architect of the twentieth century. His designs are responsible for urban structures around the world, from the grid-city of Chandigarh in India to London’s Barbican Centre, which is currently hosting an exhibition of his work. But to peg him as an architect overlooks an awe-inspiring body of work that also takes in art, literature and even a new system of measurement. With this display, the first serious UK solo exhibition of his work for twenty years, we can finally appreciate the scale of his contributions.
