In New York-based tattoo artist Amanda Wachob’s hands, a limb, chest, neck or back is not so much a body part as a very real — and permanent — canvas on which to create her wistful, soft and decorative artwork. Her tattoo work is beautifully original, with not a skull or crossbone (or ‘Hey Mum’, for that measure) in sight.

while beautiful, this work is simply art for art’s sake. not that there’s anything wrong with that… but IMHO tattoos should be meaningful to the one bearing them. they should have special meaning; after all, they’re permanent!
gorgeous work though, lots of talent, that’s for sure.

Got one done by Amanda a couple of days ago at the London Tattoo Convention. Disagree with Amy implying that they don’t have any personal meaning – owning art for art’s sake is meaningful, why do people collect artworks?.
Anyway, she is hugely talented, kinda regret getting my other ones now as hers just outshines them all!
