Nothing gets me more excited than a good bow. Thankfully for me (and you), Sydney-based designer Jodie Etchells (aka Whiskers Lane) creates cute and crafty bows ready to garnish any hairstyle. Sourcing vintage fabrics, her one-off designs are available in funky patterns. You can also find some pretty neat felt brooches and crochet iPod nano cases in her online store.

I don’t know about you, but I struggle with misplacing my little SanDisk USB stick. That’s why I think Rene Lee’s Metro Flash Drive is one of the savviest, aesthetically pleasing pieces of digital stationary designed this year. What Jorgino from Germany does with his empty small cigar cases is very cool. Instead of throwing them away, he uses them to sketch his so-called “faceboxes“. He’s done more than a hundred so far. I have no clue how this impacts his lungs, but the respective creative output is certainly swell. Read more
Like It, Stamp It! This new, Instagram-style Iphone app allows you to give a ‘stamp of approval’ to the things you like and share it instantly. In doing so, it avoids the confusion you can experience with 1 to 5 star ratings, which can sometimes be hard to figure out. Brilliant!
Improv Everywhere strikes again with a spontaneous musical in a Los Angeles mall. Wireless microphones hooked up to the mall’s PA system ensured the feeding masses didn’t slip into Cinnabon-induced comas until after the show was over. Note especially the angry dude in sunglasses at about 2:51 — apparently he thinks nothing can ever top Rent.
