Interpol’s Lights

I never thought the day would ever arrive after front man Paul Banks tried his luck with side-project, Julian Plenti. But Interpol have re-emerged from the dark and are back, giving away their first single Lights for free via email to thank us for the wait. Banks sings in his typical fashion, while guitars meander into a moody sound. The band have proclaimed their forthcoming album will be more like their favoured Turn On The Bright Lights days. Best news, ever.

My dad has really poor vision, but he still loves to look at art. He responds really well to color, and he absolutely loves Basquiat. I’d like to show him the work of Kelsey Brookes. I think he’d really like it, even if he might have trouble reading the text in her images. Read more

Given the amount of talent he has, it’s a mystery why German producer Pantha Du Prince not received more attention than he has. His minimal tech soundscapes are surprisingly melodic and moody, as reflected on his epic track, Asha, as good a starting point to the music of this German electro whiz as any.
