The eroticism in Lynn Palewicz photographs are fraught with uncomfortable notions of possession and objectification — she often uses dolls in her work, making them look like real flesh and blood at times while also pulling the curtain aside with reminders of scale and contrasting skin and plastic textures. Her skin drawings create another set of illusions, implying pain and violence that intertwines with sexuality and the physicality of human bodies.
