Edible food colouring spray
If you’ve ever had fantasies of tagging your neighborhood or local subway but haven’t had the nerve, then Esslack Food Spray may be just your thing. Thanks to the very clever German team, The Deli Garage, you can now stain your tomato, pretzels, and whatever other food screams out to be covered in gold (and isn’t the list endless?) Using these fresh spray cans full of edible silver and gold paint, food goes from ordinary to bling in seconds.
The Deli Garage — which helps local manufacturers turn quality delicacies into specially designed products — paired with creative agency Korefe to dream up the illustrative packaging for Esslack. Though busy, the vibe is as fresh as the concept of edible food spray itself. Now tag that.

If there was any doubt that beer is the new wine, it can now be put to rest with the introduction of this new wine packaging: wine in a beer bottle. That’s right, we’re talking about a Swartland Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot blend out of South Africa cheekily disguised within a kitschy brown beer bottle with an equally cheeky title, Bob’s Your Uncle. So you think you’re all cupcaked-out? Had enough of the trend, eh? Well get ready for more because at American Cupcake, their red velvet is all the rage – on fried chicken, that is. Yup, at this San Francisco-based eatery, chicken is marinated in red velvet cupcake batter (um, YUM), dredged in red velvet cupcake crumbs, and then deep fried. (We understand if you need to re-read that sentence.) But wait, there’s more! Read more
Full Circle: a carbon-saving wine series
So maybe you’re a sucker for design and you just can’t get over the aesthetic flaw of wine in plastic bottles, or perhaps you adhere to the school of thought that believes plastic tampers with a wine’s quality? But did you ever consider the carbon emissions involved in carting around such heavy cargo as glass bottles full of wine? The winemakers at Yealands have which is why they now offer a carbon-saving wine series known as Full Circle bottled in lightweight eco-friendly recycled plastic. Read more

Oh boy, this is fun. Omaha’s Tilly and the Wall are kitsch-cool-camp-vauderville meets pop-folk-flamenco, with a tap dancer for a drummer and some serious, serious charisma for a calling card.
If you’ve ever wanted to work your alter ego’s dark side without looking like a total emo, now’s your chance. New kid on the block Ben Pollitt is shaking things up with his label Friedrich Gray. The latest project of former punk rock drummer Andreas Asingh from Copenhagen, I literally stumbled across Small through my participation at the By:Larm music conference in Oslo. As one of the many up-and-coming bands in Denmark, their sound is a cross between M83, Remote, and Giorgio Moroder; captivating and adventurous, and full of strong melodies.
