Gullible

Gullible dates back to 2004 with useless facts to fill your sponge head with. Now you can be that annoying person at a party that starts dropping information that no one wants to hear, or in some cases want to hear, but don’t care about. Did you know nearly one-third of burn-related hospital visits by males aged 13 to 20 are due to an attempt at setting their flatulence alight. Amazing statistics, and so typical. Oh, and 61 percent of Swedes cannot describe the difference between Astronomy and Astrology. But who cares, 90 percent of Swedes are hot so they don’t need to be smart.

Lasagna Cat

Old gold! Lasagna Cat is one of those sites that never leaves you. I bookmarked this site and not just to my bookmarks folder, it went straight onto my bookmarks tool bar, along with my everyday bookmarks like, Internet banking, Email, Facebook and GOOP (that’s a joke). I don’t know what or why Lasagna Cat is, and in a lot of ways, that’s not important.

Mountain Man: How’m I Doin (Live at Amoeba)

Having supported The Decemberists on their last tour, don’t be surprised when you fall in love with the voices of Mountain Man after their very first verse on any track. On this one, you’ll find yourself singing: ‘Please Mister Moon, don’t tell on me’. Girls, we think you’re doing just fine.

WeWood watches

WeWOOD watches are a stylish way to tell the time in an environmently friendly way. The Italian-made watches are produced from materials which are recyclable, biodegradable and completely free of any artificial or toxic nasties. They also produce less CO2 than traditional materials used to make watches. And if that wasn’t enough, each time a watch is purchased, they plant a tree. I Wood. WeWood. Wood You?

Even if it’s an illusion, there’s something raw and un-stylized about Jason Nocito’s photos — no excessive use of harsh flash, no overly grainy film stock, and just enough distance from the subjects that the images don’t feel invasive. Read more

In the wake of America’s historic presidential election, nearly two years of divisive campaigning, and eight years of a controversial administration, the nation is in desperate need of healing. Beloved Internet personality Ze Frank started From 58 to 42 with Love where contributors use their webcams to post messages reaching out to the side of the country that didn’t vote for their guy. It’s saccharine at times, and there are one or two borderline nasty posts from people that don’t seem completely onboard with the project’s objective. But overall, it’s pretty effective and moving. I’ll admit I needed a couple tissues while reading it.

My friend Lenka Kripac, formerly of Aussie group Decoder Ring, now flying solo, has just released her debut single — The Show — and it’s as catchy a slice of pop hedonism as you’re ever going to hear. Be warned: one listen and you may never shake the melody.
