Stump Ring

It might seem that lately I’m in need of a swear jar, but what the hell! Music video director, Huse Monfaradi, and photographer, Dan Wilton, recently collaborated to capture sixty of their friends and acquaintances in the process of swearing: ‘The idea was really simple: to capture the emotive, cathartic outburst of energy from swearing to camera’, says Monfaradi. Not surprisingly, the shoot often ended up as a mass primal therapy session. Don’t you think there is something weirdly liberating about letting a loud f-bomb rip?
Brilliant typography of Scott Albrecht
Brooklyn-based Scott Albrecht is a typographic fine art genius. From drawings and painting to woodwork, fonts and co-founding Process, it seems like there’s nothing Albrecht can’t do. Oh man, it’s a good thing I’m not living in Tokyo as I’d probably never leave the house. Japanese TV is the best. Want proof? Check out this clip from a prank show called Wake You Up where hapless victims are woken from their slumber in the most … ummm … ruthless of ways.
We used to depend on sundials back in the day, but now there are multiple ways to tell the time. And Tokyo Flash has just invented another one. Based on LED technology, these watches are not only stylish but futuristic and wildly innovative. They even have a watch from minimalist designer Naoto Fukasawa that is more than just your basic timepiece. The Tokyo Flash site says that their watches are supposed to ‘resemble the various moods of a human’, and they’re definitely an attention grabber. These are watches to take us right through to the 22nd century.
