Paper engineer art by Benja Harney

Every time I see Benja Harney working on something I am amazed, not just at the intricate detail of everything, but the deadlines he works to and the clients he is working for. He is a paper engineer, making sculptures, illustrations, pop up books and objects out of paper. I recently went to an exhibition of his called the Paper Attic where he filled a room full of all things you would find in an attic: ice skates, wine bottles, records, books, all made from paper.

How the times have changed! Check out these awesome screenshots of how some of our favourite websites looked at the very moment they launched back in the day, then be grateful for the savvy workings of digital designers. Hire a professional dumper to end your relationship

Marketing executive Jonathan Kiekbush has a pretty interesting night job: he breaks up people’s relationships. That’s right, for a small set fee (£5 plus expenses), he’s a professional dumper. Trivial fact: most of his clients are men. Not surprisingly, as our friends at Oddity Central have noted, he’s single himself.

Most people today use Facebook to stalk the lives of their friends and foes. But this secret cigarette lighter video camera is a better choice for nosey buggers who want to go that step further. Just whip the lighter out whenever you’re spying on somebody or need to record evidence. After all, nobody’s going to suspect that you’ve got a high-definition camera hidden in a lighter. Unless they ask for a light mid-conversation, of course!

I’m enjoying the writing on the recently launched The Epi-Cure blog, which discusses the ‘latest scientific studies on health and nutrition’, and features interviews with ‘expert scientists, dieticians, and nutritionists’. The site’s founder and editor, Michelle Grey, also runs tasty, healthy recipes from New York chef Benjamin Towill, including today’s installment: Stuffed Zucchini Flowers [above]. Hmmm hmm. I saw a real wizard. His name is Twig Harper. He shoots crazy waveforms from his fingers, aided by magic-infused electronics. I am now a frog. If you see him, tell him I no longer wish to be a frog.

Creating modern-vintage inspired by 1950s Australian housewives and rock’n'roll style pin-up glamour, Peta Pledger has been producing one-off, made-to-measure or small-run garments and accessories since 2003.
