Endless Endless Endless play New York
Kimberly Dawn Recordings, an artist-run micro-label out of Tennessee, designed the artwork for an EP off Endless Endless Endless’ self-released album, Black Talisman. For just $4, you get to own a numbered CDR (edition of fifty hand-stamped, with an attached laser etched talisman) and listen to the dreamy, ‘post-noise’ music comprised of guitars, vocals, and a Gameboy.
The band writes: ‘This is music for (and from) pretzel rods and Miller highlife’. I don’t know exactly what that means, but I think I like it. Check out Endless Endless Endless for a chill evening on February 10th in the lounge at New York’s Dixon Place.

The large scale of Clare Woods’ work is impressive, to say the least. I’m digging her technique: the thick, impasto stroke backgrounds contrasting with meticulously busy foregrounds. However, seeing the painter’s psychic landscapes from afar really puts her use of scale into perspective and blows my mind.
Back in the day, New Zealand pop absurdists, Split Enz were the finest damn Australasian band around. This track, I Walk Away, off their final album — Spellbound — is their ultimate moment: a hefty dose of pure melodic majestry, wrapped around the aching lyrics and quirky arrangements of genius frontman, Neil Finn.
This mini-museum is right next to that shining fortress of New York’s MOMA and always has interesting shows, is never crowded, and the works are sure to inspire you. Wolf and Cub are back with a brand new single and after listening to it, I feel like I should be out in the streets, warning my neighbours of the apocalypse. The song is huge, forceful, damming and painfully exciting. Joel Byrne’s half-drawl, half-howl proclaims the end, while (in true Wolf and Cub) the drums are epic and unsettling. And then, that moment, the bass against the fading echoes. My heart broke and my brain exploded. It’s too much to take. This band will be the death of me.
