Teen prodigy Zena Santos’ love for Photoshop developed at a young age. Now the 19-year-old has further developed her uniquely dazzling illustrative style. She’s halfway through completing a Multimedia Design degree at Sydney’s Billie Blue College of Design. If she’s this good now, imagine the calibre of work she’ll be producing in another few years.

The Knife’s Colouring of Pigeons
Why am I so fond of The Knife’s latest track? Yes, the opera chanting opening takes me down memory lane: reminiscent of Edea’s theme song, reminding me of childhood Final Fantasy VIII playstation days. But ultimately this collaborative effort with Mt. Sims and Planningtorock is ambitiously rich in sparkling percussion and takes the listener on an ethereal journey to Darwinism.

We asked New York-based photographer Baldomero Fernandez about his Cuba series and whether there was a particular mood that he was looking to capture: ‘Usually I tend to photograph quiet scenes that are empty and have a feeling of solitude. The surreal part that comes through is usually more because of anachronisms, or maybe something is just out of place. It’s not straightforward surrealism. Reality usually tends to be far stranger than fiction’. There’s an exclusive interview with Baldomero Fernandez on the Feature Shoot website.

Detailed with lovely pockets and vintage buttons, Smith’s retro inspired designs literally transform original vintage fabrics into ‘one-off’ clutches, handbags, totes and accessories. I’m in love with her clutches!
