Irwin Barbe

Is it just me, or are kids getting more sophisticated these days? 17-year-old photographer Irwin Barbe shoots stylish, moody photos of candid moments with his friends that while reminiscent of early work by Ryan McGinley and other Vice Magazine darlings, are impressive given Barbe’s age.

I’m stoked about Blik Wall Graphics recent collaboration with Hybrid-Design. Their newest decal, Animal Friendlies features smaller graphics so you can create a mini storytelling vignette right on your wall. Because of their size, they don’t overwhelm a space (especially when you don’t have a large one).

So I have this recurring dream. Well, not really a dream as such. More a footnote on the thesis on life; a ‘mental meandering’ where my mind flows to a secret place which only I and Paul McCartney can access. Read more

Ever seen a beard you can’t trust? Yes, me too. Well, here’s a witty Beard Chart visualisation that can be used as a guideline to help us all out.

Cloud Control have just unravelled a newly recorded track, Gold Canary, from their forthcoming 2010 album. It’s straight up pastoral Blue Mountains goodness. I actually heard it live earlier this year and it sounded quite rad.
