The Loop is a career networking website for people in creative industries. Still in Beta mode, it is the first Australian website that combines professional multi-media profiles, job advertising and networking in one seamless loop. Ah! We get it. It’s a bit like a Seek, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube, all in one place, and a great platform for creative talent to showcase their portfolio of work.

It’s kind of ironic to store your digital matter on a repurposed 35mm film USB stick. Still, I don’t mind a retro look that offers modern capabilities. The USB flash drives are available in 2GB and 4GB capacities from the New Focus online store.
I’m totally floored by British illustrator Matthew Lyons’ retro-futuristic work. At the tender age of 22, Lyons is definitely someone to watch out for.
The philosophy of a beginning is to me, a wonderful concept. I really enjoy flicking through the back catalogues of a musician and discovering their origin, then tracing their musical journey to the present. So for American-born, Paris-based sister duo CocoRosie, who released their third album The Adventure of Ghosthouse and Stillborn to much acclaim, making the trip to their beginnings is more than worth the journey: their debut album, Le Maison de Mon Reve (released back in 2004) was a gentle stroll through their pop and classical influences, which melt together seamlessly into a backdrop for their unique and enchanting voices.
Forget about the giant Nazca lines that can only be seen from space (ooohhh, spooky), this effort from Argentine farmer Pedro Martin Ureta to create a guitar from 7,000 cypress and eucalyptus trees is even more mind-bending. Read more

Nine months ago Sydney couple Matt Cribb and Bree Carter decided they’d take their relationship to the next level. They started making beats.
