Galactic Suite
The cheesy flash website for Galactic Suite, a ‘space tourism’ company supposedly attempting to install orbiting resorts around Earth opening in 2012, is suspiciously reminiscent of the Cadaver Inc website from a decade ago which offered cadaver-removal services. The latter website even had a hotline with a real operator at the other end, but it turned out to be a hoax, put on to promote an album by Norwegian death metal band Cadaver. If Galactic Suite turns out to be real, their web design better not reflect their spaceship design.

As if this season’s dresses weren’t delightful enough, here’s another reason to liquidate some stock and ruin your credit rating. First Prada and James Jean, now the top end retailer, Nordstrom: the exploration of art by fashion is long overdue, but well worth the wait. The Nordstrom campaign brings together three great things: the Cuban illustrator Ruben Toledo, the fashion photographer Ruven Afanador and the elvin Jenny Sweeny. Just looking at it makes me want to wrap myself in Cavalli and paint my walls bone shell white.

This ‘communication prosthesis’ by designer Sascha Nordmeyer is hilarious and awesome. I want to wear one to a job interview.
Inspired by the unique digital clock apps created by the designer, Sean Zoega, the i-toc watch is a colorful physical manifestation of digital ideas featuring bespoke two-disc Japan quartz movement. The outer gradient displays the minutes while the inner gradient shows the hours. The rings interact, creating an ever-changing pattern of design and colour.
