Bob Hund’s Fantastiskt’s only has 30 plays in it
Swedish rock band Bob Hund have released their latest single Fantastiskt (Fantastic) on a once-off print vinyl record that can only get played up to thirty times. The band then enlisted Martin Kann Design to design a suitable casing. So taking it literally he put it in a record player and etched lyrics to the song on the case. The record and the player were then listed on eBay and sold for a staggering US$3,650 to become the most expensive record ever in Sweden.

I’m mesmerised by the work of Swedish photography duo Waldemar and Max. Nostalgic colour, thoughtful compositions and frozen subjects via timely slow shutter speeds are all wonderful techniques that shape their fashion photography. Waldemar and Max just shot the series Love in Vain for Fault Magazine this month. Read more
Robyn’s remix of El Perro del Mar’s Change of Heart
Swedish pop star Robyn has done her first ever remix for another artist: El Perro del Mar’s Change of Heart. The original single was taken from El Perro Del Mar’s album, Love Is Not Pop, of which she says: ‘Shortly after having finished touring with my second album From the Valley to the Stars, I started writing new songs. For some reason all the songs were about love, and in particular, that of the doomed kind. I’d spent some bad times in New York and some good times in Paris and both these cities have made a great imprint on this album and my current outlook on love. I’ve decided to call it Love Is Not Pop — the songs on the album are all pop songs and they are all about love. But naturally, it is not all as simple as that. As much as pop can be love and vice versa, I’d like to believe that love goes so much deeper than a pop song’. [Read a Secret Playlist by El Perro del Mar]

The Mirage by Kjellgren Kaminsky
In 2006, Fredrik Kjellgren and Joakim Kaminsky won the International Competition for their vision for a new dance hall in Falsterbo, Sweden. Now the building, known as the Mirage, is to be inaugurated. The design placed considerable emphasis on creating ’spaces with extraordinary acoustic qualities. A custom made damping wall was designed in collaboration with an acoustic expert, consisting of a black acoustic felt covered by white wooden boards of various dimensions’. Read more

The Changes archive video release
Art collective, The Changes, have released an old video from their archives. The video, which was partly shot in Nigo’s Bapestudio some seven years ago, has resurfaced, showcasing the work of Australian label PAM, BBC/Ice Cream artist Skatething and Tonite creator, Fergadelic. PAM’s description of the ongoing collaboration is: ‘The Changes is the idea that when a few musicians come together, they form a ‘band’, which makes for a different, and sometimes stronger, dynamic for making music. We thought the same could be true of four artists coming together to do a similar thing’.
The Muppets nail Queens’ Bohemian Rhapsody
I am pretty much speechless. The title speaks for itself. It’s just brilliant. The Muppets take on Queen with their take on the classic, Bohemian Rhapsody. And the result is a must see video.
Polly van der Glas’ human teeth jewellery
Australian jewellery designer Polly van der Glas has released her latest collection, which makes my teeth ache. Her latest pieces feature human teeth. Yes, you’re reading correctly. Taking old teeth from donations in Australia from friends and family who have had teeth extracted from normal dental procedures, Van Der Glas sterilizes each tooth, then sets them into rings, pendents and necklaces. It makes interesting viewing, but I think I’ll leave it at that. Some strangers’ tooth on my hand just isn’t right!

Arkansas illustrator Edward Kinsella certainly has a way with a brush and paint. The work on his website is nothing short of gorgeous, in all its muted painterly glory.
Though artistic genres from the last couple centuries inform Marc Burckhardt’s style, he is not a period fetishist. The playful way in which he incorporates visual jokes and modern themes has a simplicity to it, making each of his images self-contained and elegant. Read more
This odd, atmospheric animation by web artists Aaron Russ Clinger and Miltos Manetas is simple but effective, a finely rendered piece of interactive art. There are some pretty crazy things you can make the floating man do if you play around with this long enough.

Seldom has black humour been done so well. On the surface, this film about the everyday lives of some unusually mundane characters, sounds extraordinarily boring. But it is instead a cutting comment on the absurdity and drudgery of everyday life. The characters try to break out or change their lives without success, and the results are bleak and hilarious. I wasn’t aware of who Emilio Pucci was until my work was compared to his for the hundredth time. I’m happy to have anyone make that connection. I’m not a high fashion person. I keep to the basics and feel alright about it. The introduction to his work was mind blowing for me. Not only for the rich colors and patterns, but how those things worked with the human form. It was an interesting revelation, and one that has sparked more interest for me to explore fashion as a medium for art.

I live the upbeat, feel good tempo of the new single — A Hundred Hearts — from Philly group, The Swimmers. Off their latest album, People Are Soft, this song is a strangely fitting anthem for the blustery day outside.
