The Muppets nail Queens’ Bohemian Rhapsody
I am pretty much speechless. The title speaks for itself. It’s just brilliant. The Muppets take on Queen with their take on the classic, Bohemian Rhapsody. And the result is a must see video.

OK Go cover The Muppets Show theme song
Dragged kicking and screaming from the musical tribute, Muppets: The Green Album, comes this brilliant video collaboration (surprise, surprise) between OK GO and The Muppets. Says Kermit himself: ‘OK Go never does anything the way you’d expect it. I think they were Muppets in a previous lifetime’. Watch on in awe. Again. [Watch this brilliant video here] Read more

Jim Henson’s Fantastic World exhibit
I feel like the Smithsonian and Museum of the Moving Image have read my mind: an entire exhibit dedicated to the crazy and wonderful world of Jim Henson!? It’s almost too perfect to even comprehend. The retrospective is titled Jim Henson’s Fantastic World and it contains more than 120 artifacts: including drawings, storyboards, and props. The exhibit is open from now until next January. The Muppets perform Stand By Me
Sometimes, when the stress of the day builds like a cyclone and the buzz of the urban jungle taunts insatiably, I wish I could transport myself into a Muppet universe, where little pink creatures sing the catchy refrains from lost 60s standards.

With so many t-shirt labels coming and going these days it is a good thing to see some sticking around. London-based Ivory Skies has been around for nearly two years now — which in t-shirt language is long. The brand’s new collection has uncovered some more ancient drawings that sit nicely on a printed tee. Designer Carlo Salanitri has built somewhat of a cult following amongst the t-shirt community, with a large online following. Read more

Art, design, and fashion company Perks and Mini have just launched a new website for their publishing company, PAMBOOK, which came about five years ago when PAM founders, Misha Hollenbach and Shauna T, wanted to work with some of their favourite artists and photographers via print media. Some of the people to be involved thus far include Peter Sutherland, Sk8thing, Mark Borthwick, Ed Templeton, Fergus Purcell and Barry McGee. Each book has a unique story to it and is printed in limited numbers worldwide.
The Changes archive video release
Art collective, The Changes, have released an old video from their archives. The video, which was partly shot in Nigo’s Bapestudio some seven years ago, has resurfaced, showcasing the work of Australian label PAM, BBC/Ice Cream artist Skatething and Tonite creator, Fergadelic. PAM’s description of the ongoing collaboration is: ‘The Changes is the idea that when a few musicians come together, they form a ‘band’, which makes for a different, and sometimes stronger, dynamic for making music. We thought the same could be true of four artists coming together to do a similar thing’.

Argentine illustrator Juan Weiss makes great use of pattern and texture in his surreal images. His treatment of every day people and common animals such as milk cows and pigeons imbues his subject with a mythic power.
Photojournalist You Li has an impressive array of stark personal photos of various barren, empty/emptying natural and human landscapes across China, images not often seen of the world’s most populous nation. They’re sad and gritty, but also achingly poetic. Read more

Have you ever felt engulfed by a strange mix of emotions, ones which make you feel all giddy? Well, that’s what this track — Not For All The Love In the World — does to me. French pop-folk extraordinaire Sebastian Tellier remixes Irish pop band The Thrills. Totally luscious and dreamy, especially the glockenspiel sound. Beautiful stuff.
