Whether he’s sawing it into pieces to recombine as skulls or strange animals, or drawing sexy ladies, monsters, and arcade games on it with ink, JTO’s touch turns the most boring board into a fascinating object d’art. His recent entry into the tattooing medium has also been radically successful.
Chris Jordan’s carcass photography
Seattle-based photographer Chris Jordan’s new work features astounding images of the carcasses and stomach contents of albatross chicks from a remote strip of land in the Northern Pacific ocean, 2000 miles from the nearest continent. The chicks are fed human waste by their parents, who mistake the garbage for food. Jordan notes his subject matter is reproduced as discovered, in the interest of accurate representation. Read more

New York photographer Amy Stein’s work ‘explores our evolving isolation from community, culture and the environment’. Her recently released book, Domesticated, began when she was in grad school. ‘I was simply trying to make compelling images that wouldn’t get eviscerated in critique’, she says of the project. ‘As the series progressed, I began to become interested in exhibiting the work and have had many opportunities to do so this year. Always an inspiration! Jeff’s body of work is huge and all of it gorgeous. His image vocabulary is totally his own, even as he copiously honors the graphic world that inspired it. He understands design perfectly, his women are fantastically sexy, and his line quality is unsurpassed. i have one of his pieces up in my kitchen!
