The combination of themed rooms, live shows, radical art performances, a diverse music policy and, of course, the self-expressive manifestations in the form of costumes adorned by the cutting edge crowd it attracts, makes this a night to remember. Baltimore band Lands and Peoples
Driving through the idyllic Maryland countryside after a few hours swimming at the Pretty Boy Reservoir, we listened to Baltimore band Lands & Peoples. Their ethereal sound was abstract, yet harmonious enough to fit perfectly with our endorphin highs as the setting sun cast a golden glow over everything.

Los Feliz artist Vanessa Prager has been exhibited at the Robert Berman Gallery, Gallery 1988, and the Santa Monica Museum of Art. Her series, Hunting and Gaming — which opens in LA on January 24th — explores the ‘nature of sinister play’. Prager paints ‘starkly-lit scenes of surrealistic moments in daily life; untangling holiday decorations, playing with old toys, driving or chatting. This odd, atmospheric animation by web artists Aaron Russ Clinger and Miltos Manetas is simple but effective, a finely rendered piece of interactive art. There are some pretty crazy things you can make the floating man do if you play around with this long enough.
Haunts is one twisted, skewered, pulsating, gyrating disco tune. Seriously. Jacob Safari, aka Bark, Bark, Bark, sure knows how to take a dirgey chord progression and dress it up in layers of disjointed, unsettling noise.
