Ghostwood’s Sunset Mirage

Having recently returned Down Under from recording in London and Los Angeles, Australian rockers Ghostwood are back on the indie scene with their new single, Sunset Mirage. It was penned in LA while working with Dave Cooley of Dappled Citied and Dangermouse mastering fame. Although their new material has matured a great deal since Red Version days, they still bear the same old hazy, raw and nostalgic sound that we love.

Cassette Kids

We checked in with Sydney-band Cassette Kids, who have been creating quite a buzz of late, and asked them about the highlights of their extensive touring over the past six months: ‘We literally just stepped off a plane from LA. We played at SXSW in Austin over the last week and it has probably been the most awesome experience to date. It’s amazing being able to play shows and go and see shows non-stop over five days’. Mattel’s Barbie crew teamed up with the Young Money rapper to bring her Barbie persona to life in the name of charity. Think classic highlighter pink hair with a blunt cut, flamboyant makeup and Minaj’s signature Barbie necklace. All proceed of the doll’s auction will benefit Project Angel Food, an organisation that works to provide food for people affected by HIV and AIDS.
