Baby crab packaging
I want to live in Tokyo, to be immersed in a city where quirky is cool and everything can be turned into cute cartoon characters. This awesome packaging of tiny baby crabs with a spicy topping may be a little literal, but it’s more fun that anything Birdseye have ever released.

Life-Sized RX78 Gundam Mobile Suit
Japan certainly takes its giant robots seriously. As reported by Moe Passion, a blog by an American sailor stationed in Japan, a life-sized replica of a Gundam RX78 Mobile Suit was recently built on the artificial island of Odaiba in Tokyo Bay. It’s up until August 31st, so go see it while you can.

Crimea X is the coming together of two offbeat, disparate characters, DJ Rocca (Ajello, Super Sonic Lovers, Maffia Sound System) and Jukka Reverberi from 90s Italian glam cult rockers, Giardini di Mirò, who have often have been compared with the sound of Mogwai, Arab Strap, and Godspeed You! The graduate exhibition of third year graphic design students at Sydney’s Design Centre is called 342 Seconds and relates to the estimated time required to view the show. Given the amount of talent he has, it’s a mystery why German producer Pantha Du Prince not received more attention than he has. His minimal tech soundscapes are surprisingly melodic and moody, as reflected on his epic track, Asha, as good a starting point to the music of this German electro whiz as any.
