Monopoly City Streets
Google Maps has teamed up with Monopoly in what can only be described as a match made in heaven for all budding property tycoons. Based on the famous board game, you start with three million in the bank with a chance to buy any street in the world and develop it just as you want to. So if you have always wanted to buy your own nice quiet court and place a 400 story building on it. This is the game for you.

With so many t-shirt labels coming and going these days it is a good thing to see some sticking around. London-based Ivory Skies has been around for nearly two years now — which in t-shirt language is long. The brand’s new collection has uncovered some more ancient drawings that sit nicely on a printed tee. Art, design, and fashion company Perks and Mini have just launched a new website for their publishing company, PAMBOOK, which came about five years ago when PAM founders, Misha Hollenbach and Shauna T, wanted to work with some of their favourite artists and photographers via print media. Some of the people to be involved thus far include Peter Sutherland, Sk8thing, Mark Borthwick, Ed Templeton, Fergus Purcell and Barry McGee. Each book has a unique story to it and is printed in limited numbers worldwide.
The Changes archive video release
Art collective, The Changes, have released an old video from their archives. The video, which was partly shot in Nigo’s Bapestudio some seven years ago, has resurfaced, showcasing the work of Australian label PAM, BBC/Ice Cream artist Skatething and Tonite creator, Fergadelic. PAM’s description of the ongoing collaboration is: ‘The Changes is the idea that when a few musicians come together, they form a ‘band’, which makes for a different, and sometimes stronger, dynamic for making music. We thought the same could be true of four artists coming together to do a similar thing’.

Films involving characters faced with an impossible choice never make easy viewing, an example being the Nick Cave Australian gem, The Proposition. A nightclub manager, played with understated power by Joaquin Phoenix, is the victim here, and you actually feel truly uncomfortable as his predicament unfolds. Set in the 1980s, We Own The Night shows a real nostalgia for that period — particularly in the costumes. Read more
Belgian architect Vincent Callebaut is an award-winning designer with varied projects. This one, entitled The Lilypad, is nothing short of amazing. It’s an eco-city, floating on water, with the ability to accommodate upwards of 50,000 people. If built as designed, this structure (which uses most, if not all, available environmental technologies) would sustainably produce more power than it would consume.
Let them sing it for you is a web widget that allows you to type in a sentence which is then played back using the same words culled from a library of popular songs. For instance if you type the word “I” it will play Chris Isaak singing that word in the song Wicked Games. If a word cannot be found, you can enter a song which contains the missing word and expand the library.
Tyr are a great Viking metal band from the Faroe Islands, a tiny nation between Greenland and the British Islands. They sing in Faroese, Danish, and English, crafting amazingly catchy songs inspired by Dream Theater, mid-era Metallica, and Black Sabbath.
Ever get that perfect casual jumper, but wished it had a hood? Well, Coal Headwear has produced the opposite to everyone else: not a jumper without a hood, but a hood without a jumper.
