For me, the prize pack is not a want or a need but a right. As a junior in high school my life was getting darker with every hour upon realizing that I was not the cool cat my mom had promised so many times before. My social life was in shambles, I was unathletic and the girls found me repulsive. yes, even the freshmen girls. Then one day while looking back into the black abyss of my life I happened to stumble across the Arctic Monkeys online. After listening to a couple of their more popular songs I became a huge fan with a bright new outlook on life. As the days progressed I seemed to have an aura around me wherever I would go. I lost weight, wore trendy clothes, and joined the track team. Within time I became the star of the track team and no longer had any trouble getting the attention of girls though many had trouble getting the attention of me. Without the Artic Monkeys none of this would have been possible, I would still be an overweight unsociable teenager who couldn’t get a girl but now I have it all and with a little push from their new single, “Crying Lightning”, I intend to discover a cure for cancer. That is why it is my right to receive the prize package.

I want this prize pack because ever since I saw them play ‘Mardy Bum’ at Glastonbury my life has not been the same. That song just brings me back to a particularly crazy time in my life and the fun, sleeplessness and mud of the festival.

i want this, and i should get it because i’m pointing out that Humbug is misspelled in this post. but it’s funny. but, i should have it. (and i have a collection of arctic monkeys pictures on my computer, if that adds to my chance of winning). (this is unrelated, but lost at e minor as the BEST GIVEAWAYS i’ve seen in my life)!

because I work in a horrible ad agency, my bike has a flat, my dog left me, my apartment is messy, my skateboard is rusted, my car needs to be moved in the AM, i never win anything, I don’t own a turntable, all my music is on my computer and my hard drive broke, I play WoW, my t-shirts are all in the laundry, and I can’t seem to get up anymore.

And mostly b/c I am so uncool that this would help me immensely.

Why do I really really want this? Because their music makes my car a whole lot more exciting, because they call their guitar player Cookie, because they’re British, because they’re playing at Austin City Limits…and this just might relieve the pain of not being able to go a little, little bit. (Being the Houstonian that I am). Bah, humbug.
