British artist Tim Pugh makes elaborate artwork on site out of sticks, leaves, pine cones, and other found materials in nature. It sort of reminds me of Tibetan Buddhist sand paintings and Robert Smithson’s Spiral Jetty. Read more

If your parents knew you were spending your Trader Joe’s paycheck on Thundercats roleplaying gear, they’ll probably cry a little inside, but they’ll still love you. Such is the strength of familial bonds.

Oh man, this is good. If Jamie Lidell was born in any earlier era, he would have soul brother number one plastered all over his birth certificate.

Almanac Market in Philadelphia is slightly pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. Offering fantastic bread, cheeses, produce, and cured meats such as sopressata and pepperoni, it was a great pit stop when my band played in town, and definitely more economical and tasty than hitting a greasy spoon for road snacks.

Found photos are nothing new, but Internet K-Hole is a nice little blogspot that has some pretty choice images sure to suck you in, including some rarely-seen ones of people like Nirvana, NWA, and Fabio. Some images are NSFW, but they’re not that bad. Read more

Wow! So whilst Australia is quickly becoming known for its Ed Banger-styled modular stream of music, there is a little known Brisbane artist called Yeo Choong who is just insanely talented. Pitched as ‘Ulterior Motives in Contemporary Art’, Disorder Disorder is running until November 14 at Penrith Regional Gallery. It’ll be well worth the trip out west of Sydney: the Australian, Japanese, American and European cast reads like a warriors of street art roundup and includes Mike Giant, Ed Templeton, Anthony Lister [artwork above], Ozzie Wright, and Jonathan Zawada. Matthew Dear’s Black City album totem

In 2008, graphic designer Becky Edgington and illustrator Sarah Beetson created two limited-edition packs of playing cards featuring images from Beetson’s exhibition, 50 Bucks: Bring On The Sluts.
