Despite his name, I’m guessing German illustrator Frederik Jurk must be a cool guy because his images, his limited palette and gorgeous textured line work are awesome.
I was immediately taken with the work of California artist Zack Paul. Especially the images created on various bits of driftwood and found natural objects. The most perfect backdrop to his clean, geometric images.

Pamela Dale’s work is full of intricate detail: ‘Generally I’m trying to get a feel of the walk-in paradise’, she says. ‘Because these are large scale, you actually walk into them in a sense. During my recent time in New Orleans, I got to see in person the amazing piece by public installation artist Candy Chang called Before I Die, installed on the side of an abandoned house in the Marigny neighborhood. It invites passers by to fill in the blanks with what they’d like to do before they die. One of them read “live in New Orleans,” which I can definitely relate to. Read more
