Jacksonville duo Civilization look like mild-mannered guys, but they make some truly crushing and plodding down-tempo hardcore. Their live show is so intense, Josh, the drummer, doesn’t need a mic for his throat-shredding shrieks, while Erik, the guitarist, rasps out lyrics about modern man’s alienation from nature.
