Using the I Want One Of Those hand casting kits is simple: get that magic plaster powder, ensuring it’s a smooth liquid, chuck it in a bucket, plunge your hand in the gooey stuff, leave it there for seven minutes, then remove your hand carefully and fill it with mixed Plaster of Paris. Presto, you have a new hand. Now for that much needed third leg.

Go around the corner, instead, off Bethnal Green Rd and you’ll find a Turkish favorite, Tas Firin. It’s such a nice surprise: even the décor has a charm, with shoes on the makeshift roof, which in turn is the drinks station. The hummus and halloumi are a must. My favorites are the Adana and Iskender dishes, but don’t order them together as the portions are huge.

I have followed the Clayton Brothers’ work since the mid-90s and had the pleasure of meeting them a few years back. Their art is a reflection of what great people they are. It’s really compelling to see their work in person. I love it and can’t get enough of it. I wish I had a lot more money so I could have a big one in my house.
