Artfarm, where all tattooed pigs live
I wonder if these piggies understand what is going on? They’re a part of Artfarm, a collective of swine and tattoo ink. The Belgian artist Wim Delvoye worked with The Foundation Cartier on this recent project. Hmmm, it seems more like Artharm. Or should that be Artham?

Wim Delvoye’s Cloaca auctioned through Sotheby’s
Belgian artist Wim Delvoye (who famously tattooed a bunch of pigs) created a shit-making machine called the Cloaca Machine that pumps out rather hefty logs of brown stuff. A couple of days ago, Sotheby’s put a piece of Delvoye’s shit on auction for 2,000-3,000 GBP.

The Fun Theory, for all good fun seekers
Remember how, as a kid, teachers created an atmosphere of FUN as the best way to learn? It was an inspired place for imagination and support. Hmmm, well it seems adults get the short end of the stick, playing only a game of ’serious’ and ‘responsibility’. So when I came across this video, it was interesting to see life’s playground had merged into the adult world. Yipeeee! Adults need to have some fun, too.
What Stormtroopers Do On Their Day Off
I guess having Darth Vader as your boss would compel you to spend your days off reflecting, making friends with Gizmo, having a jam session, and, of course, continuing your battle against the Jedi Council by sending hate mail to Mr. Skywalker himself. In another universe, I can’t help but wonder if the inspiration behind Jackass and Johny Knoxville’s deviant ways were inspired by these Stormtroopers’ antics. The hot dog with ketchup is a dead giveaway. Read more

Looks cool, but what a cruel thing to do to an animal – putting them through such pain. They wouldn’t understand what was going on. It’s disgusting and seems a little hypocritical coming from a vegetarian.

As good as it looks … is it cruelty to animals?
C said | 19 June, 2009
This is cruel and horrible.

I really torn by this work. I love it but……… will SOMEBODY think of the piglets?
K said | 20 June, 2009
Horrible horrible. I don’t care if it IS art. Do you know that pig’s skin is ultra-sensitive? Do you know how many HOURS it takes to tattoo this kind of art? Nice art. Cruelty to animals!

This is disgusting. How can people subject these animals to such senseless pain in the name of ‘art’?
Sara said | 14 September, 2009

The duo of Brendan Monroe and Evah Fan are one of those creative, powerhouse couples. Though two entirely individual artists, the influence they exert upon one another is subtle yet undeniable. Both create the kind of art that that makes you giddy with pleasure, while the lack of pretension puts you completely at ease. You get the undeniable sense that these are two people who simply live and breathe creativity and love every moment of it. Two amazing artists with a wholly individual take on life and the world around them. I had the pleasure to grill them both. Read more
‘I have been trying to go with my whims. Fuck it, let’s make an iPod album’. This statement from Team Genius leader Drew Hermiller was the jumping off point in the creation of the band’s debut self-titled full-length album, one of the most interesting and eclectic pop records of the year. ‘Basically it’s a reaction to the modern way music is consumed and listened to’, Hermiller says. ‘The idea of an album with a focused sound and a complete statement kind of gets lost now-a-days. Everyone shuffles around, so I thought “why not write an album that does the same thing?” Luckily, the band did an awesome job of keeping up with it’. Scanners’ new single Salvation
I love this track by London based rock group, Scanners, which is off their latest album, Submarine. Having toured with acts such as The Horrors, The Wedding Present, The Charlatans, Electric Six, and Juliette & The Licks, Scanners could well blow up in 2010. Figuratively speaking, not literally. No, that wouldn’t be fun.
