Chubby Cuppycake Boy
by This weird, slightly-creepy video of a chubby kid lip-syncing the Cuppycake Song circulated the web like any other cute oddity until it was discovered that the boy in the video, Sam Castle, has a life-threatening kidney disorder, one effect of which is his excess weight and his stunted growth. His Internet celebrity helped call attention to his plight, and he has since appeared on the Tyra Banks Show, The Doctors, and alongside the original singer of the Cuppycake Song, Amy Castle (no relation).

They spit out sloppy, warbling, ear-piercing punk that’s more giddy than it is snarling, with frontwoman Ellie Beziat channeling Poly Styrene without being overly conscious of it. With songs like If You Love Me Take Me to the Hospital, The Prettiest Racist in Town, and Orgy on the China Train, it’s apparent these guys have their heads in a lot of unseemly places, but not up their own butts.
