|Super hyped producers, Diplo & Switch, have joined forces as Major Lazer to record a thumping album called Guns Don’t Kill People, Lazer’s Do. Already responsible for pioneering the hottest ghetto sounds — including tracks for M.I.A and Santigold — the pair’s genre-mashing debut will be released in June on New York label, Downtown, home to Santigold, Spank Rock, and Kid Sister. We have an MP3 from the album, Hold The Line, available for free download in our Music Download section, which is in the third column of the Lost At E Minor site.

Crimea X is the coming together of two offbeat, disparate characters, DJ Rocca (Ajello, Super Sonic Lovers, Maffia Sound System) and Jukka Reverberi from 90s Italian glam cult rockers, Giardini di Mirò, who have often have been compared with the sound of Mogwai, Arab Strap, and Godspeed You! I wasn’t aware of who Emilio Pucci was until my work was compared to his for the hundredth time. I’m happy to have anyone make that connection. I’m not a high fashion person. I keep to the basics and feel alright about it. The introduction to his work was mind blowing for me. Not only for the rich colors and patterns, but how those things worked with the human form. It was an interesting revelation, and one that has sparked more interest for me to explore fashion as a medium for art.
