London’s White Blackbird pyjama party
Forget about dressing up, just rock on down to the White Blackbird pyjama party on May 8 with Johnny ‘Time For Tea’. You’ll find cabaret and tarot, DJs, and a series of fun performances, all set out on a seventeenth century countryside estate. It’s certainly something different to get yourself out of the bustle of London for an enjoyable and outlandish night. Tickets are £35 for entry, plus £15 for the coach transport.

I’ll let you in on a secret. If you’re heading East towards Brick Lane and are hungry, forget about all those cheap and non flavorsome restaurants, which surround the area door to door, encouraging you to come in for a cheap bite. Go around the corner, instead, off Bethnal Green Rd and you’ll find a Turkish favorite, Tas Firin. It’s such a nice surprise: even the décor has a charm, with shoes on the makeshift roof, which in turn is the drinks station. The hummus and halloumi are a must. My favorites are the Adana and Iskender dishes, but don’t order them together as the portions are huge.

There’s an iPhone app for it, too, which we used to document moments of our last tour. Gifs are great because they’re way smaller than movie files, and they’re more exciting than still images.

Skagen are a Danish-born design company based out of Nevada with an innovative and clean approach to their work. Their trademark product is this titanium mesh watch, which I’ve worn with pride for years. But they also produce different models of sunglasses and jewellery. When so many products these days offer extra gimmicks and weigh you down by their size, Skagen strip it all back and, in doing so, hoist themselves far above the pack.
