The Polaroid Kid is a self-trained photographer from Florida who left home at the age of eighteen to travel the railroads of America, spending three years photographing the people he encountered along the way using his trusty Polaroid SX-70.

The Whitehouse Post is an international post-production company whose projects are damn fine. In fact, they are the scary mix of wit and aesthetics that makes any message convincing. Long live Coca-Cola.
These fascinating mosaics of twenty-first century human habitation are proof that planned housing isn’t always dull and distasteful, for the bird’s-eye photographer at least. What may be endless rows of generic streets and blocks at ground level suddenly become giant patchwork quilts from the air, perhaps in a weird way proving that there is more to life than what meets the pedestrian’s eye. I love Brooklyn band Durty Nanas. They were formed in 2005 and play street spaces, galleries, lofts, and block parties. So I guess they are the ‘real’ Bloc party.
It doesn’t transform or actually play music, but this watch with a face that looks like a cassette tape, is still pretty cool. Read more
