JT Handbags
Lucy and Ricky, Abbot and Costello, Gilbert and Sullivan, the list goes on. We can now add Jeffrey and Tony of JT Handbags to the previous significant artists of their time. After collaborations with Giorgio Armani Privé, Swarovski, Derek Lam, Juicy Couture, and others, the boys launched their own handbag line in 2007. Draped in the windows of Bendels and Harvey Nicols, these luxury liners are seriously coveted. I first laid eyes on them six months ago and have not parted with my Hobo bag since. A splurge, yes, a regret, no! This is artistry at its finest.

The issue of abortion has hardly ever been represented so honestly by a movie. In the Princess of Nebraska, the main character suffers through indecision, naivety and turmoil that seem much closer to reality. Read more
Aesop’s signature space in Fitzroy, Melbourne, looks amazing, we’ve got the word on how and why. Why was Gabriel Garcia Marquez chosen as the featured author? ‘There are literary giants and then there are writers like Gabriel Garcia Marquez, whose talents redefine not only the genres they choose to work within but what’s possible in literature as a whole. The fact that his work has transcended his own language and culture has also prompted our decision to pay homage’. Read more
My friend and fine artist Sara Wolfe sent me this link of Chicago based artist Diego Leclery. He created this flash animation Panda, to celebrate the recent Beijing Olympics. He initially said he would take it down after the closing ceremony, but it is still up, so watch this cool one before it’s gone!
There’s an intriguing sense of urgency about Modest Mouse’s music. It comes at you in sonic waves, each one packed with enough bite to sink a small trawler.
If on a picture perfect summer’s day, you find yourself wishing for a blizzard, something is wrong. Very wrong. But don’t panic, this weather preference has nothing to do with hatin’ on sunshine, and everything to do with an infamous leather bomber jacket from Claude Maus. It’ll have you hooked with its luxurious soft leather, stitched front paneling, Italian wool lining and the very necessary detachable hood. If you’re somewhere cold, then chances are you’re nowhere near this Australian-based label. So if you’re looking for a push in the purchase direction, it’ll be pleasing to know that the Aussie dollar ain’t doing too good. Gives a whole new meaning to the term ‘investment piece’, doesn’t it?
